Lightening skin using lemon?

okay racially i'm white but the wierd thing is my neck is pretty dark while my face and body is white and i want to make my neck also as light as my face and i heard that you can put lemon or lemon juice on your skin to lighten it. how does that "lemon" idea work? or rather how do i use lemon to lighten my neck?

thank you.

Lightening skin using lemon?
It is a fact that lemon is very acidic as previously mentioned, in fact I have used it on my hair...Disaster, maybe I didn't do it right. There is a big variety of whitening creams on the market, why don't you try one of those?I'm afraid it might give you a rash and itching cause lemon is commonly used to enlighten dark but also hard areas of our body such as elbows. knees, toes. The skin of your neck is very delicate and one of the first areas to develop wrinkles...using lemon would be such a mistreatment. Good luck whatever you do!
Reply:lemon is too acidic!
Reply:it wont work on your skin but on your hair it will
Reply:Lemon juice can be used to lighten freckles, so if you have extra pigmentation on your neck then it could work for you. BUT do not go out in the sun with lemon juice on your skin - you MUST wear sunscreen, otherwise you will be more prone to burning and your pigmentation problem will just get worse.
