Skin lightening lotion/soap?

are there any lotions or soaps that actually work to give you a lighter complexion? and i don't mean like lightening dark spots or whatever, i'm talking lightening your entire complexion. i'm so freakin black and i wanna be lighter. not like michael jackson or anything, just like from this to this

also i'd prefer if it was something you could get like at walmart or walgreens.

or a recipe you could make, like a home remedy.

Reply:makari--it doesn't cause skin cancer and has a lot of products Report It

Reply:Black, white, brown... ALL BEAUTIFUL Report It

Reply:Black is beautiful, if you don't believe it, keep telling yourself that until you do. There are products like AMBI and others that are usually just to even out your skin tone...nothing you buy at walgreens or walmart is going to do what you want. I know plenty of people who prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate. Embrace what you have and see the beauty in it. You are BEAUTIFUL ;-)
Reply:Don't change your complexion, you are who you are. Im sure your beutiful, don't try to change it. Embrace who you are!
Reply:If you suffer from Malasma there is a cream you can get from your Dermatologist for $100. It works. Did you try bleach? How about lemon juice or peroxide? I heard battery acid works wonders. Melanin is what makes your skin the color it is so as ridiculous as the advice sounds -IT IS What it is! You are born that way and can not change things, SORRY. :(

Go put on an India Iree CD and you'll feel better.
Reply:I'm so sorry that you dislike your beautiful skin tone. Hasn't anyone ever told you how beautiful chocolate skin looks? Everyone shouldn't be beige, caramel or honey complexioned. The world would be so boring. You also need to know that skin lighteners will change your shade but you will end up paying a serious price for that. The ingredients in skin lighteners, include, hydroquinone, lead, mercury and other harmful chemicals. In time, you would develop sensitivity to the sun, skin scales and sores and possibly even die from it because the chemicals get into your bloodstream. Some people use it not knowing that most doctors don't even know how to help them after they begin to have skin problems from using the skin lighteners. Please do some reading on this subject and try to learn from people, who love themselves as they are. Maybe then, you will learn to accept your own special beauty.
Reply:Please, you really are not that dark, but I do need to say dat i feel you there. I am of first generation african decsent, so you can imagine how dark I am. Right now, you are obviously struggling to accept yourself for who you are. Find reasons why it is good to be your skin tone.

For instance, you probably will never get sunburn. Also, that one day will come when you can't put it back on, make up is never truly permanent.

In addition, I no that if you are younger then 18 yrs. old especially, you realy wanna be lighter, because you're tired of all the name calling, ect. Probably been called midnite, or been compared to black permanent markers. I know you are just wishin people would stop telling you that black is beautiful, because you are just fed up with it all. Because, acording to Western society, Black really isn't beautiful at all, as a matter of fact, it's flat out straight up ugly. You figure, yeah, you know they wouldn't be saying that if they were in the situation. There isn't really any completely effective skin lightening product. On top of that, all of them have major health risks. So, just keep your head up, even when you're fed up. Hope I make a difference.
Reply:there is nothing wrong with aiming for skin lightening;

it's basically the same as skin tanning;

both have the same objectives as better self esteem or to correct uneven skin tone.. each one has her own specific wants and needs.. here's an article how to lighten skin safely and effectively -
